The Department of Economics and Business at the University of Lleida carries out its work mainly in the Faculty of Law, Economics and Tourism, teaching degrees in Business Administration and Management, Tourism and Law. Also teaches at the Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineering, the Higher Polytechnic School, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Arts and the University Campus of Igualada - UdL
Likewise, the Department of Economics and Business coordinates and supports teaching and research activities and initiatives in the following areas of knowledge:

- Area of Financial Economics and Accounting
- Area of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis
- Marketing and Market Research Area
In the teaching aspect, the Department of Economics and Business integrates around 90 professors and maintains an intense training activity for the preparation of students for new access to the labor market, for the recycling and specialization of working professionals, and for the training of researchers and academics. For all this, the department regularly promotes and participates in various Postgraduate courses, specialization courses, training courses and university extension courses. He also participates in the Doctorate in Law and Business Administration program.
In the research aspect, the Department of Economy and Business powers and develops research activities through collaboration in different projects, and has several research groups. Also actively participates in the Chair of Family Business and the Santander Chair of University Entrepreneurship
